california: I got a speeding ticket in Portland, OR and I have a California driver's license. Oregon does not seem to have a traffic school option ( I called the court and they told me this). When they send this record to CA DMV, does CA DMV give me an option to attend traffic school? Why would Oregon send your traffic ticket to California? You pay the fine in Oregon and they file the ticket away. The only reason for them to contact California is if you do not pay the fine.|||this is an out of state event that you got caught at. you have to pay the fine and pay for the points thru higher insurance rates til it passes and learn not to be speeding. guess what your record is no longer clean. washing with soap won't work either. you got caught so learn to deal with it like the rest of us. just cause you left the state does not give you the right to speed. learn to drive proper and repect the law!!
