How does someone living in California cross the Mexico border without a passport since they dont have an inhanced drivers license in Cali yet....?|||U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry are required to have documents that comply with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), most commonly a U.S. passport, a passport card, a trusted traveler card such as NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST, or an enhanced driver's license.
For members of the U.S. armed forces traveling on active duty, an ID card and travel orders will work.
An individual traveling as a member of the United States armed forces on active duty is not required to present a valid passport to enter or depart the United States.
In addition to passports and passport cards, WHTI-Compliant Travel Documents for U.S. citizen traveling via land and sea, as of January 31, 2008:
* Trusted Traveler Cards (NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST)
* State Issued Enhanced Driver鈥檚 License (when available)
* Enhanced Tribal Cards (when available)
* U.S. Military Identification with Military Travel Orders
* U.S. Merchant Mariner Document when traveling in conjunction with official maritime business
* Native American Tribal Photo Identification Card
* Form I-872 American Indian Card|||Do you mean cross into Mexico? You can't, Mexico enforces its border.
