We are planning to move to Texas (maybe in the midyear if possible). I have been a high school math teacher for over 10 years in california. How hard is the process to get a teaching lic in texas if you hold one in california. How are teaching jobs these days?|||Well, as I'm sure you know, you'd need to take the certification exam, referred to as the TExES exam. Math teachers are somewhat in demand right now, as are science teachers, so it shouldn't be too awfully difficult to find a position.
I'm unsure of if you would need to take some developmental courses or not, but it would most likely be district-specific if you did. Just make sure your TB test is up-to-date!|||cant see the problem, ring up the texas ed department
