We are planning to move to Oregon from California. What are some differences and Is housing easy to acquire. |||Oregon is cheaper and better than California.|||big thing is the rain, you will get allot. there is no sales tax in oregon.
they have a higher income tax rate. food is cheaper. its slower paced.
if your buying property make sure you have a good water access. if you live in the country or out of urban areas you don't have to have your car
smog tested. i would not live inside a city limit, a county area is better
and cheaper as far as getting things done if your going to be building
a home on vacant property. they have good doctors. its cheaper to get your car registered. the housing market didn't get hit as hard as other
places. we sold our home there in 07 and didn't have any problem
getting our price. oregonians love coffee every where you go you
will see drive through coffee places.
|||Depending where you are at in California, I think Oregon would be cooler than south California. They may get more rain also.
I would think that housing might not be as expensive as CA. |||Um... It's further North?

What part of California are you moving from? It's much, much different geographically and economically from Southern California, but not much from Northern California.|||Umm...Oregon doesn't have sales tax. And people fill your gas tank for you. Those seem to be the two things that people talk about when they come over.
