Do you think California might drop off the contential United States and become it's own island? Do you think it will wipe California off the map completely? Or is this just a regular storm with regular natural consequences?|||The fact is, the story about a super storm that may move into California is hypothetical. Some people like to experiment with the mathematical models to see what sort of storms can be created with a "perfect' environment of their own choosing. The initial parametrization is skewed towards very unrealistic values that one never sees in the atmosphere. This creates a storm that is mathematically and physically correct but virtually impossible. I wouldn't say it can't happen, just with our current understanding of nature very improbable.

Another one that I have heard about is the hail the size of 33 gallon size garbage cans. It also could happen according to the mathematical models in the "perfect" environment but so far the largest hail stone ever recorded isn't even 5 percent of that size. So is it possible, according to the model yes. Will it every happen, not very likely.

Mathematical models are made to use, and abuse.|||no - there is no bigger BS than biblical BS|||Since I live in Cal, it scares me for them to just say that. I hope it doesn't happen or hope I live.
