My California Reading List number is 11. What does that mean? I just tooked the California Standarized Test and thats what it says in there. Is it a good number?|||The California Reading List is a list of books organized by grade level and difficulty. The numbers range from 1 to 13+.
Let's say you're in ninth grade (hypothetical; I don't mean to demean you in any way). Books on List Number 1 for ninth grade are (comparatively) the easiest. Books on list 13+ are the most difficult and sophisticated. Having the List Number 11 doesn't mean that you're in eleventh grade. It simply means that you're capable of comprehending books with comparatively difficult subject matter, vocabulary, etc. and that you are recommended to read them. So it's a fairly high number, and yes, it's good :)
