My brother sent me a pic because he has doubts if the bed he is being sold is actually California king. How do we know the difference? Should it be square or rectangle? Thanks!|||A california King is 72" wide by 84" Long|||The standard king (eastern king) is more square. The Cal. King is 6' x 7'
and became popular back in the 70's during the water bed craze. Waterbeds were all dimensional meaning they were all 7' long and either 4' 5' or 6' wide. You can learn more about sizes at http://www.mattresses.net
