If I have an outstanding wage garnishment in the state of california can the same judgement be enforced once i've moved out of state? the garnishment is not for unpaid taxes or anything else to do with the federal or state governments.|||Yes and no. The creditor would have to go through the courts in your new state and apply for a sister state judgment. This would give the creditor rights in the new state.
