We will always vote for the unions.|||California is not a right to work state right now. Right to work refers to employees having the right to choose if they want to join a union. Union membership is not mandatory under right to work, but it is mandatory for many jobs in California. You cannot be hired as an electrician without being union, unless you work for yourself. Most cities and counties will not hire non-union contractors. That is slowly changing. My city just passed a law where non-union has the right to compete for construction government contracts.|||ALL states should be. Better for San Fran to buy the bay bridge from China than to allow non union contractors to bid on the job.
