california: Is California a good state for a person who is looking for sophisticated lifestyle?|||The state itself is like the other. It has it's metropolitan areas, and the suburbs. Overall, if you want sophisticated, it depends where you have lived before, to compare it to that experience. Ultimately, if we consider San Francisco, as the area where sophistication occurs, it would deem low. Los Angeles would relate to a sophisticated life.|||Being a native Californian and a native of the SF bay area, I have to say yes. There is much to do in the Bay area that is for the sophisticated. But because SF is so diverse, you have to expect a little of everything, from drug use to hippies, to very sophisticated people and everything in between. The biggest problem with living here is the cost. For instance, gas in very near $4 a gal. A home in the city will easily go for over a million dollars. A small condo would be about $700,000. BTW you must know that SF is a very liberal city too.|||You can live a sophisticated lifestyle in any state. All states have large/small, high density/low density, high income/low income areas... which all contribute to lifestyle.
