My parents asked me if i can help them drive on some part of the way from California to Texas and i recieved my permit a few months ago and dont want to lose it by just helping them drive in other states. We will be traveling through Arizona and New Mexico on our way if that helps anything.|||Yes, all states recognize learners permits from all other states. Most require you to follow all limitations spelled out on your license, as well as all limitations required for a similar permit in that state.

For example, if your permit limits your driving with only those over 25 and no driving at night time, and the other state requires those with a permit to only drive with their parents, you can only drive with your parents if they're over 25 (let's hope so) in the daytime. That may be a bad example, but you should get the idea!|||Only if the other state allows "foreign" permits. When I got my permit in new York I was not allowed to drive in new jersey at all.

State of California also needs to approve driving with a permit in another state. You need to check the driving manual|||Yes just follow the restrictions outlined from California and you can drive anywhere...|||As long as they are in the vehicle you should have no problem.
