Why, she was 11 that's not a dumb little girl anymore. I cant understand this. The fence was 6 ft tall, there was plenty of junk there that she could of climbed over the fence. Fear can do many things, but the will to escape should be strong in a situation such as this. Even if he kept her tied up for some time, within 18 yrs there was time to try to escape. This was in a yard in a town not in a tunnel in the wildernes. Could it be that she fell for this monster, and loved being with him?
