california: Whats the weather like for a holiday in october time please and opinions! is it expensive to go and buy things eg.pair of shoes? xxx|||Depending on where you go in California, I live in the middle...up north it is cold in Oct. if you go by the coast it is beautiful and not that expensive..where I live you are 2 hours from the great sequioa mts and 2 hours from the ocean..both are not really expensive and have alot to offer...the weather is cool mid 60's around that time of year..as you go over the mtn to Los Angeles area it gets way more expensive and packed with humans..everywhere, but you have several places to see including Disneyland in Anahiem..which is cooler, the beaches down there are dirty and expensive in most places...until you get down to the bottom of Calif. in San Diego..which is warm, all year round, expensive and beautiful, but you have the zoo and seaworld in the same town..a good way to see Calif is to take the amtrack train all the way to San Diego..it is inexpensive and you can get on and off when you want to explore...you can go to amtrack on the web and see all the prices..there are lots of ways to make it cost less in Calif...also keep in mind the weather here is changing and the summers are staying longer...have fun and enjoy...
