I am planning to meet someone half way between California and Arkansas, where would that be?|||do you mean arizona? arkansas is almost all the way across the country.
but if you do mean arkansas, you should meet around alberquerque, new mexico.
if you mean arizona, you should meet in las vegas.|||Santa Fe, NM is probably the best halfway place|||New Mexico or Colorado depending on where you are in either state.|||Probably right around the Four Corners, where Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico meet.|||To get from Arkansas to southern California while traversing the fewest number of states and the shortest distance, you would go through Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona; the halfway point is either in north Texas, or New Mexico.
But if you were aiming for northern CA, you would go through Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada; the halfway point is Colorado.|||From the Arkansas state line by Ft. Smith, (following I-40) it is about 330 miles across Oklahoma, then about 200 miles across Texas, then about 375 miles across New Mexico, then about 360 miles across Arizona to the California state line.
Mid way would be about Santa Rosa, NM.
If you are using I-30, I-20 and I-10, from the Arkansas state line at Texarkana it is about 830 miles across Texas, 166 miles across New Mexico and about 400 miles across Arizona to the California state line.
Mid way would be around Van Horn, TX.
Of course both of these estimates assume one person starting from the same distance into Arkansas from the state line as the other is in California from that state line.
